The Maryknoll Institute of Language Culture (MILC) was founded by the Maryknoll Fathers, Inc. in 1958. In 2010, the management of MILC was transferred to the Dominican Sisters of the Trinity.
At the school communication skills in the Cebuano language (Philippine Language) and an understanding and appreciation of Cebuano culture is taught. Students may be accepted at the discretion of the Institute.

The Institute consists of an air-conditioned lecture room and library, sheds for individual language practice sessions, a fully equipped air-conditioned language laboratory and a pantry.
A core group of well-trained experienced language informants who are all native Cebuano speakers with years of experience in the Institute's proven method comprise the full time staff.
